Pankit Doshi Appointed to State Bar of California Fairness Council
Fremont: Indian-American Pankit Doshi an Associate in Jackson Lewis' Los Angeles office, has been appointed by the State Bar of California Board of Governors to serve a three-year term (2011-2014) on the State Bar of California Council on Access and Fairness. The Council advises the State Bar's Board of Governors on diversity strategies and goals. The 25-member Council consists of both lawyers and public members from various constituencies and practice settings who are selected based on their record of leadership and work on matters related to diversity pipeline challenges. This Indian American lawyer completed his graduation from California State University, Los Angeles, where he graduated magna cum laude in 1999 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a minor in Business Administration. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles in 2003, where he was Vice President of the South Asian Law Student Association and Vice Justice of the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity. Doshi is currently co-chair of the Litigation Committee for the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association and is Alternate Regional Governor for the California Central District. He is a past president and on the current Advisory Board of the South Asian Bar Association of Southern California. Prior to this he has served on the Board of Directors of the North American South Asian Bar Association and the Executive Advisory Council of the Asian Pacific American Legal Center.
