ISLAMABAD: Pakistani exporters have endorsed an agreement to purchase 10 rice-processing plants from India, reports Online news agency.
The agreement was inked by a 26-member delegation of Pakistani rice exporters during their visit to India last week.
The plants process Basmati rice to give it the flavour of what is described as "old" or matured rice.
At the moment, only India has this technology and earns a huge revenue from exports, particularly to the Gulf countries where once Pakistani rice ruled the market.
