PM has achieved 'hell of a lot', says Rahul

Puducherry: Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had achieved "hell of a lot", Congress general secretary Rahul Gandhi said Wednesday, countering Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader L.K. Advani's assertions that he was a weak leader. "I guess, if he is a weak prime minister, he has achieved a hell of a lot," Rahul Gandhi said at a press conference here. A war of words broke out Tuesday between the prime minister and Advani. While Manmohan Singh challenged the BJP leader's ability to be prime minister, Advani hit back by again calling him weak. Rahul Gandhi said about Advani: "He is a senior leader. I can't make comments about him. I am a youngster. I can only make comments about my leader." He also praised Manmohan Singh for the signing of the India-US nuclear deal and diplomatic pressure on Pakistan after the 26/11 Mumbai terror attacks, besides the economic growth of the country.
