Oracle India slashes price

COIMBATORE: Oracle India Private Ltd has made its pricing both affordable and simpler for the Indian companies in the small and medium business segment, a top company official said today.
With hardly 2000 mid-sized companies, out of 50,000 in India, opting for IT solutions there was a huge potential for the company, which has 40 per cent midsized customers, its general manager, V Ram Sharma said.
The Oracle E-business Suite is available as a complete packaged solution to mid-sized companies, consisting of E-business Suite licenses, product support and upgrades, implementations services and server hardware to run the applications, he said.
Saying that the small and medium businesses had to opt for software solution, due to the changing environment, Sharma who is here in connection with a roadshow, said the Company was aiming to tap the huge automobile and textile segments in Coimbatore and nearby areas.
The E-business Suite comes as pre-installed and pre-configured business applications, containing a comprehensive set of software components necessary for a business solution, Sharma said.
