Bangalore: Anytime, anywhere banking is moving to its next level. Recently BNY Mellon (Bank of New York) launched the new Treasury Edge Mobile App which will help clients by making their electronic banking transactions more easier  and access information from tablets. The new app developed based on Openstreams's Context aware technology includes a number of new services. You get details regarding cash accounts of clients and facilities that help clients to make their payments.

Interaction through speech, gesture and typing will make the work of users less complicated. It follows the open standards from W3C and OSGi. Based on the Technology’s ability to sense where the consumer is, the user comes to know what kind of device and network are being used and  can receive rich alerts and content, and other many other additional  information.

The mobile device incorporated with voice recognition and GPS technology - which is used to know about the positioning will be part of the next wave of mobile banking innovation. There's also oppurtunity for carrying out routine transactions like stock trades or bank transfers. More complex interactions with financial advisors in branches or in far away service centers are also made possible.

In future, context aware interaction will be enabled using voice, gesture and other natural interaction capabilities. Users will be able to simply say ‘transfer money from one account to another’ as well as use touch or keypad inputs. ‘’Gesture-based’’ navigation is also being developed by technology in which rather than  clicking on those icons or touching them directly it is sufficient to move your finger around the screen to access banking app icons.

Open stream says it has clients in different fields like healthcare, financial services, media and entertainment, but did not disclose other clients. Volzle, Pontis, Telnic etc are other providers of this technology.
