Numerical projects $11 M Q4 revenue

SAN JOSE: Numerical Technologies announced Friday that it expects revenue of $11.0 million for the quarter ending December 31, 2002. Numerical is also forecasting operating expenses, including cost of sales, of $13.6 million. Operating expenses includes $2.9 million of non- cash charges for depreciation, amortization of intangible assets, and stock- based compensation. Other income is forecast to be approximately $400,000. Basic shares outstanding for the quarter are projected to be approximately 33 million shares, with a net loss per common share projected to be $0.04. The company projects diluted outstanding shares for the quarter projected to be 35 million, with pro forma earnings per share (EPS) on a diluted basis projected to be $0.01. For the full fiscal, Numerical expects revenue of in the range of $46 million for the year ending December 31, 2002. Numerical is also forecasting operating expenses, including cost of sales, of $113.8 million, which includes $70.2 million of non-cash charges for depreciation, amortization of intangible assets, stock- based compensation and impairment of goodwill and other intangible assets. Other income is forecast to be approximately $1.6 million. Basic shares outstanding for the year are projected to be approximately 32.5 million shares, with a net loss per common share projected to be $1.92. Diluted outstanding shares for the year are projected to be approximately 35 million shares, with pro forma EPS on a diluted basis projected to be $0.08.
