Nokia Forum to host Global Developer Contest

Bangalore: Identifying mobiles emerging as a new drive for innovation, to attract professional developers and students Nokia Forum is calling in applications for Global Developer Contest to showcase their innovative ideas. The winner of the contest shall have the platform to represent Asia and compete with other regional finalists during the Mobile World Congress at Barcelona in 2009 along with prize money of $10, 000 and a Nokia N95.
There will be three categories for participation like 'eco-challenge', wherein eco-friendly applications can be shown; 'emerging market', where developers can showcase applications which shall impact the daily lives of developing nations and technology showcase which shall provide the platform to showcase killer applications.
Participants of the 'Forum Nokia Calling All Innovators Competition' shall have the chance to grab the early bird offer of a Nokia E71 by registering before 10th November 2008, while the final date for submission of the applications remains till 15th December, 2008.
