Neoteris strengthens team with new appointments

NEW YORK: Neoteris, an Indian American-owned IT security services firm, has named Sriram Ramachandran its vice president of engineering and Ajay Mody as vice president of operations. The Mountainview, California, based company was launched in November 2001 by CEO Krishna "Kittu" Kolluri. Neoteris has its offices in Hyderabad. "The additions of these proven leaders to our executive team further adds to the growing corporate capabilities of Neoteris," said Kolluri. "Sriram has proven experience in leading engineering and software development functions, and I am pleased to be working with him again from our days at Healtheon, where he directed the successful development of our Web-based products and services. "Ajay brings a wealth of success in the operations arena, and we will rely on his knowledge and experience as we scale our operations and development of our secure virtual extranet products appliance hardware platforms." Ramachandran is credited with around 14 years of industry experience in building and managing software. Earlier, he was the vice president of engineering and co-founder of Respond Networks. Before that he was with WebMD (formerly Healtheon) where he led the engineering effort for the company's first physician-related service offerings. He has also held various senior positions at Catapult Entertainment and Sun Microsystems. Ramachandran has a masters degree in electrical and computer engineering from the University of Texas and a bachelors degree in electronics and communication engineering from University of Madras. Ajay Mody has around 20 years of experience in various areas of high-technology business. Before joining Neoteris, he was with the Internet infrastructure company NetScaler, as vice president of operations. Prior to NetScaler, he was vice president of several business units at Fujitsu Microelectronics, including manufacturing services and media devices. Mody held several positions at Amkor Electronics and National Semiconductor. He has a masters in industrial engineering and management from Rutgers University and a bachelors in mechanical engineering from Bangalore University. Neoteris says its products cost lesser and provide increased security for remote access as compared to traditional solutions. Neoteris has been expanding in size and has completed a successful second round of financing in hard times.
