Navin Chaddha named Mayfield MD

CALIFORNIA: Mayfield Fund today announced the addition of Navin Chaddha as the eighth investing Managing Director. Chaddha has a background in the software, communications, and consumer sectors. He has been an investor in India since the late 1990s as well. "Chaddha 's track record and his close connections to entrepreneurs worldwide will prove invaluable in the growth of Mayfield Fund," said Yogen Dalal, Mayfield Fund’s Managing Director. A Global Leader of Tomorrow Member of the World Economic Forum, 36-year-old Chaddha holds over 35 technology patents. His notable investment successes in India include three companies that went public on the Bombay Stock Exchange: Allsec Technologies, IL&FS Investsmart and Provogue. Chaddha has also spent several years at Microsoft in various management roles. A Master of Science in electrical engineering from Stanford University, he has over 15 years of technology industry experience and was the co-founder of iBeam Broadcasting that went public on NASDAQ. "I found a strong chemistry fit with Mayfield ‘s world-class partners and am looking forward to working with a team with over 60 years of collective venture capital experience," said Chaddha. Mayfield has a team of twelve investing professionals with around $2.4 billion under management.
