Nasscom cites Leadership award winners at its Leadership Forum

Bangalore: On the sidelines of the Nasscom India Leadership Forum 2009 which kicked off today, the trade body Nasscom has announced the winners of the fifth Nasscom Global Leadership Award. The awards will be presented to individuals for their role in building business excellence and technology leadership within their organizations. To be facilitated by the Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, Jyotiraditya Madhavrao Scindia at the evening awards ceremony, today, the awards will be presented for excellence in the various categories like Vision Award, Award for the Global Indian and CIO of the Year Award. The winner for NASSCOM Excellence in IT Usage Award 2009 is being given out to Les Dawson, CEO, Southern Waters for his strong IT- BPO strategy, while Madhavan Nair, Chairman of ISRO is to be awarded the Nasscom Vision Award for a similar reason. Prof. CK Prahlad will be presented the Global Indian Award as he brought fame and glory to his India through recognition for his work within the academic or business communities. The award ceremony will also recognize Guy Chiarello, CIO, JP Morgan Chase through the CIO of the Year award.
