Microsoft launches $1-M tech support program

NEW DELHI: Microsoft Corporation India on Thursday announced a technical support programme 'FirstSupport' with an investment of one million dollar, aimed at small and medium businesses. The programme would be spread over two years, a company release said. Under the project, customers can avail onsite support from the company in Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Pune, Ahmedabad, Kolkata, Hyderabad and Chennai. Customers can also get this service via e-mail and telephone across the country, it said. The company would adopt a partner leveraged model to roll out the programme, it added. "FirstSupport is targeted to cater to the needs of small and medium businesses. It will allow the SMBs to be able to get support when they need our help the most," General Manager, Product Support Services, Microsoft, Asia Pacific, Manish Sinha, said. "By leveraging our partner network we have the ability to scale this support offering to reach as many customers as we need to," he added.
