Microsoft adds more Kinect-enabled games to Xbox

Los Angeles: In a bid to rule the videogame-console industry, Microsoft has announced a series of new Xbox games, including new installments of "Halo," Tomb Raider," and "Call of Duty 3," in addition to the Kinect-enabled Disneyland game. Microsoft had earlier powered its Xbox 360 with live television shows, YouTube, and voice commands. The Redmond software giant announced the new Start Wars game for Xbox 360 with Kinect's motion-sensing capabilities at the Electronic Entertainment Expo in in Los Angeles. With the addition of Kinect, players can move objects with hand motions and fight battles by slashing their arms. Microsoft has incorporated voice capabilities in Kinect which enables players to give commands to in-game characters and also speak Bing searches for games, TV shows, movies, and music etc. The company also gave a 10-minute demo of "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3," which will hit the stores on November 8. Since November 2010 when they first came to the market, Microsoft has sold more than 10 million of the gesture-sensing Kinect accessories for the Xbox 360 worldwide.
