Mead named Chief Sales & Marketing Officer at EXL

NEW YORK: EXL Service, an India based third party BPO service provider Friday announced the appointment of Thomas E Mead as its new Chief Sales and Marketing Officer. Mead was previously serving as Senior Vice President-New Business at Spherion Corporation. With this move, EXL has brought in a proven leader with a highly successful track record in the Sales and Marketing function spanning fifteen years in the BPO industry with several leading US companies. Mead, has been responsible for leading turnarounds of various outsourcing businesses which has earned him a reputation for successfully marketing complex, global organizations & services, and creating integrated business development strategies that drive growth. In his prior assignments he has been responsible for building and managing the business development function for several outsourcing division of companies and successfully penetrated more than 60 Fortune 500 companies within 90 days of implementing the sales plan. Mead has been extensively quoted as a BPO subject matter expert by various research groups in the US and was amongst America's Who's Who of Business Executives in 1997-2000. Mr. Mead was also awarded the EDS " above and Beyond" award in 1997 and has been actively serving on the Client Advisory Council of the highly reputable Gartner Group for eight years now.
