AUSTIN, TX: The world's largest computer services company IBM has acquired privately held Webify, founded by Manoj Saxena. Webify is based in Austin, Texas.
With this acquisition, IBM will expand into the fast growing market of integrating corporate software systems.
Though the terms of the deal were not disclosed, IBM said all the 120 employees of Webify working in their Texas and Mumbai office would become part of IBM.
A IBM release said that Webifys products help insurers, healthcare companies and banks and many other industries to share data among various software systems which otherwise is a difficult job as they do not communicate with one another.
Manoj Saxena and Webify were on the cover of siliconindia in August last year.
