"MAAC Lecture Series" seminar held in Mumbai

Mumbai: Maya Academy of Advanced Cinematics, India's animation training institute and a part of Maya Entertainment, recently organized "MAAC Lecture Series" by David Crawford at Bhaidas Hall, Road No1, Near Mithibhai College, Juhu Scheme, Vile Parle, Mumbai. The focal point of the seminar was to spread enhanced awareness about the growth of the 3D animation and VFX industry in India and the number of qualified animators required to meet global animation requirements. Personalities like Ketan Mehta (founder of MAAC), Vinayak Sudhakar from University of Cambridge International Examination (CIE), Jasmeet Singh (Director Academics MAAC) and David Crawford (Visual Effects Supervisor - EyeQub Studios) addressed the gathering. The seminar was also attended by students, parents and professionals from all works of life. Addressing the gathering, Ketan Mehta spoke about specs of 3D animation and VFX and their usage in modern film making process. He also informed them about the globalization of this industry and the important space that India has made in the map of world animation. He further added that animation as an industry is here to stay for long and the usage area of animation has gone beyond movies to other related fields like advertising, medical science, stimulation training, gaming to name a few. According to Vinayak Sudhakar, CIE, after a successful evaluation of course material and assessments, has tied up with MAAC to validate their career programs AD3D and PD3D, wherein the students after completion of these courses will be awarded certificate from CIE. David Crawford familiarized the gathering with a brief introduction on the animation and VFX industry and the career opportunities available in this industry. He also emphasized on the technical aspects of VFX.
