Bangalore: Kareena Kapoor was named as the ‘Most Profitable Actress’ in the Bollywood film industry, by the Business Awards conducted by ETC. The box-office collections of 200 plus crores for the films Ra-One and Bodyguard helped Kareena achieve this title. No other actress in Hindi film industry could match up with Kareena’s record.

"Receiving an award wherein you are being adjudged considering the economic quotient as a cornerstone for mapping the success gives you a sense of pride. I've always maintained that commercial success is as important as the critical success of a movie. A commercially successful movie pays evidence to the fact that viewers loved watching your movie," Kareena said in a press statement.

Kareena was thrilled with the acknowledgement, but according to her this is just the beginning of the path towards success in her career.

Kareena Kapoor is one of the best actresses in the Hindi film industry who has delivered some of the biggest earning films. Over the last two years Kareena starred in four films that crossed over Rs 100 crore at the box office collection. These films include - 3 Idiots which collected an amount of Rs 170 crore, Golmaal 3 with Rs 108 crore, followed by Bodyguard and Ra.One collecting 200 plus crores at the box office.

Some of the upcoming movies of Kareena include Heroine, Agent Vinod, Ekk Main Aur Ek tu and Dhruv.
