Johns Hopkins to collaborate with IITs

CHENNAI: The Johns Hopkins University of Maryland has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Chennai. The American university will also sign similar pacts with Mumbai and New Delhi IITs, Chris Foster, Maryland deputy secretary for business and economic development, said here. "Computer science, informatics, electrical engineering and micro electrical engineering are areas of partnership identified for cooperation with Indian institutions of technology and science", he said. The university has also held talks for collaboration with the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, earlier in the week.
