Jataayu eyeing African wireless market

NEW DELHI: Jataayu Software, provider of solutions in the WAP, MMS and SMS space has announced its intention to expand into the rapidly growing African wireless market. With its participation at the ITU Cairo, 2004 event, Jataayu is all set to offer to the African carriers its range of solutions, which have enabled carriers in the Asian market to lower their total cost of ownership and increase ARPU. Leveraging on its key strengths - technology, infrastructure, people and high quality processes has enabled the company to ensure that more than 80 percent of the WAP, MMS and SMS data in India is delivered through its Gateways, states a press release. Participating in the event, Jataayu MD, Mahesh Kumar Jain stated, "Africa is one of the fastest expanding markets for wireless data services and we are really happy to be a part of this event. The event not only enables us to meet prospective customers but also to understand the market. We see this event as our gateway to the African market space and look forward to building relationships with leading carriers in this region. Expansion into the African region is part of Jataayu's efforts in creating a global presence and to achieve a leadership position."
