Intransa India ramp ups, promotes and positions

BANGALORE: Intransa, Inc., a provider of IP SAN solutions, is ramping up its Pune center to support its growing opportunity and market in India and Asia Pacific regions. While talking about the expanding market pie in this space, Udi Paret, Vice President of Global Operations, introduced his newfound India head Vaidyanathan Iyer. Iyer who was formerly the country head of Apara Enterprise Solutions will take over Chandrashekar Balasubramanian’s role in Intransa and Balasubramanian moves upper ahead to occupy the Director of Global Marketing slot. Iyer said his main focus for Intransa would be to increase revenue opportunities, while pepping up his Indian work force to enhance productivity, and also stretching the company’s business operations. Balasubramanian, now the marketing head, said his portfolio would let him oversee al the marketing activities for Intransa in the Asia Pacific region. Credited with successfully launching Intransa’s scalable, high performance suite of native IP-SAN solution in India, Balasubramanian will now use his wide technology, product and solution marketing experience to promote Intransa’s suite of IP-SAN solutions in newer markets in the Asia Pacific region. Intransa today considers its India development center to be the most outstanding investment ever made. With 50 more people walking into the campus in the next couple of weeks the company also plans to increase its employee base. Talking about India strategy Paret said, “India is a key pillar for our global business strategy. We have expanded our software development, customer solution groups and opened new sales offices in Mumbai and Delhi. Shortly we also plan to expand our infrastructure in next twelve months.” Embarking on India opportunity, Paret added, “Asia Pacific and, India in particular will be the fastest growing market for Intransa. Our multi capable IP SAN solutions is already making strides in India, so we need to be committed to investing more resources to expand our business in the region.” Intransa’s native IP SAN product suite is designed from the ground up to leverage a company’s existing Ethernet infrastructure, and uses the power of TCP/IP networking and the advantages of ATA disk drives—making it clear alternative to proprietary Fibre Channel solutions.
