Cochin: Intel has announced the Onam Demand Generation (DG) program to boost the sales of PCs in Kerala during Onam. Intel, in its bid to support the channel partners, had kicked off the Ponnonam campaign on August 9, 2010. This helped channel partners garner maximum business growth during the festive period. The Onam DG has been designed to get consumers, particularly families, interested in purchasing Intel processor based PCs. The program comprises on ground activities and marketing initiatives including print ads, merchandise, promotions, mailers, digital advertising and sales collaterals. The program is very state centric and covers 14 cities across Kerala and features contests for channel partners. B Suryanarayanan, Director, Sales & Marketing, Intel South Asia, said, "Onam is that time of the year where enthusiasm abounds and hopes of prosperity, harmony, and joy keep spirits high all across Kerala. Since this festival is known for the tradition of gifting, buying activities are particularly high during this period. So this would be the best time to push computer sales." Intel has lined up many offers and lucky draws to pull the consumers. In this regard, a website also has been launched called www.intel.com/in/Onam where people can log on to know more about the Onam special offers.
