Hyderabad: Web and mobile knowledge distribution and workflow company, Instancy Inc., is on the look out for a location to set up its second R&D facility in India. Though no specific location has been cited by the company as yet, sources indicate Pune as the most likely choice for the company’s next R&D center. Expected to come up in the next 4-5 months, it would engage in similar activities like its Hyderbad R&D counterpart that was set up about four years ago. Instancy’s product, Instancy On-Demand Knowledge Portal, launched last year, was developed at its Hyderabad center. While the Hyderbad center currently employs about 100 professionals, the new center is reportedly to start of with a 50-member team. Focusing on the SMBs and the mid markets, Instancy operates in the space of learning and knowledge management while working on Web 2.0 technologies, like XML, workflow automation, collaboration and one-click transfer of content to mobile devices. With a total of 50 clients on board, it integrates 20 modules and is going to the market in a Software-as-a-service (SAAS) model.
