Infotech, Quovadx in outsourcing deal

AHMEDABAD: Infotech Network Group, a consortium of affiliated IT and ITeS companies, today announced a strategic partnership for "offshore services" with Quovadx, Inc., a global software and vertical solutions company of Denver, Colorado, US. Announcing this, Madhavan S Pillai, chairman and managing director of the company, told reporters here that the offshore service agreement will bring a minimum of $10 million a year for next three years. He said the Infotech Network Group and Quovadx will jointly pursue new opportunities as well as provide additional service offerings to each other client base. Infotech will provide development support for new applications as well as provide Quovadx with an offshore element in its service offerings, he said. Pillai said the objective of this agreement is to significantly bolster the library of Quovadx adaptive applications that are available to clients in the financial services, media, entertainment, healthcare and manufacturing sectors. Pillai said that "India is quickly becoming the epicentre of high-quality, cost effective technology development and this agreement will allow us to both increase the number of adaptive applications that Quovadx brings to the market place as well as significantly increase our presence in India, an important technology centre". He said that "Infotech and Quovadx provide synergistic IT software and services to many of the same industries". (Source: ET)
