Infosys net profit jumps 51 percent

BANGALORE : Infosys Technologies posted a net profit of 
4.97 billion for the third quarter (Oct-Dec) in the current fiscal 2004-05, recording a whopping 51.39 percent jump over the same period in 2003-04.
In a notification to the stock exchanges here Wednesday, the IT bellwether reported that its consolidated revenues from IT and BPO services shot up 49.21 percent to 18.76 billion in the quarter under review, from 12.57 billion a year ago.
"We have seen another quarter of robust growth," Infosys CEO, president and managing director Nandan M. Nilekani said in a statement.
