Infosys gets CII-Exim Bank award

BANGALORE: Indian IT major Infosys Technologies has won yet another award, the CII-Exim bank award for business excellence, for setting new benchmarks for Indian industry. The award recognises companies that have achieved exemplary business excellence and are considered role models for others, N. Srinivasan, deputy director-general of the Confederation of Indian industry Institute of Quality (CIIIQ), told the 10th Quality Summit of CII. Infosys got the award for "value based leadership, exemplary corporate governance, best in class processes, commendable wealth creation and delivery of world class product and services". The jury included Tata Teleservices chairman J.J. Irani, Bharat Electronics chairman V.K. Koshy and former chief vigilance commissioner N. Vittal. The award will be presented at next year's annual CII meet.
