CHENNAI: Indian motorbike aficionados may be thrilled to know that their object of desire, Bullet, is set to roar on the US and European roads. Royal Enfield plans to export its new Bullet 500 Sixty-5 brand to those countries, Siddhartha Lal, the company's head, told reporters here today. Originally of Britain, Royal Enfield now has a manufacturing facility only in India. The company that makes 125 cc and 350 cc bikes still sells about 600 units in its country of origin, which is its largest international market. Bullets are popular in India and are extensively used by the country's armed forces and police. The Bullet 500 Sixty-5 is styled after bikes of 1960s, with four-stroke, single-cylinder 500 cc engine. After its US launch planned for this month, the Bullet Sixty-5 will also be taken to Europe, Australia, Japan and New Zealand later in the year, the company said.
