Indian ITeS industry will grow by 15 percent
Bangalore: Indian ITeS industry will grow by 15 percent for the year and achieve about $60 billion in revenue, the IT body NASSCOM has said. The body has also predicted that the recovery will start by late FY09-10. As the BPO market continues to evolve, service providers face the challenge of aligning their strategies to emerging market needs, while facing increased competition and customer demands. "Today, we are facing big challenges in satisfying our clients," said Srinivas Pingali, Executive Vice President, Quatrro at the Nasscom BPO summit held in Bangalore on Tuesday. In the last one year, the demand and expectation of customers have changed drastically. Now, customers look for ways to achieve a greater level of business consistency when it comes to the delivery of services to customers and suppliers, adhering to compliance regulations, good corporate governance, as well as increasing time to market. Pingali says, "We are using platform based services that help customer retention and pricing in a highly competitive marketplace. It increases the flexibility and also helps in scaling the business quickly." At the same time, BPO providers see an unprecedented opportunity for growth and profitability in the new market. The result is driving movement towards an end-to-end solutions model, in which providers can deliver significant value to customers and capture a larger share of work by balancing multiple complex processes simultaneously.
