Indian-American to lead Wyndham IT Dept

HOUSTON: An Indian American, Roger Seshadri, will lead Wyndham International Inc as vice-president of Information Technology. Seshadri will be responsible for managing projects relating to Information Technology and Casino operations, IT Finance, implementation of the company's Capability Maturity Model of process improvement as well as providing technology oversight for compliance and casino systems initiatives. Seshadri, who began his career more than 20 years ago as a Certified Public Accountant intern with a leading public accounting firm, holds a bachelor's degree in commerce from the University of Madras. Besides, he is a member of the Project Management Institute, international associate member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Hospitality Financial and Technology Professionals, an international associate member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and is a Novell Certified Network Engineer. He joined Dallas based Wyndham International in 2000 as director of the company's Information Technology Program Management Office. Prior to this, he served as director of Information Technology for ITT Sheraton/Caesars Entertainment, where he managed IT operations for the company's resorts and casinos. "Roger has been instrumental in launching a number of state-of the-art technologies and standards that have both improved behind-the-scenes operations as well as positioned Wyndham as an industry leader in IT leadership," said Mark Hedley, Executive Vice-President and Chief Information Officer.
