HONG KONG: India today said it would soon unveil a package offering Least Developed Countries (LDCs) preferential market access in their products of interest. "The package is almost final and is expected to be taken up by the Cabinet soon," Indian Commerce Minister Kamal Nath said. The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s office cleared the package and the Government had asked the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) to undertake a study to identify LDC's products of interest. India's package would mainly assist African LDCs, besides Mauritius and some other nations.
