NEW DELHI: India today ruled out withdrawing the Most Favored Nation status given to Pakistan despite Islamabad's refusal to grant the same to New Delhi. "There is no proposal as of now to withdraw MFN status given to Pakistan" said Minister of State for Commerce and Industry E V K S Elangovan said. "Pakistan has so far not granted MFN status to India despite its obligations, even under WTO and has cited extraneous political and economic reasons for this," he said and added that India has taken up the issue with Pakistan repeatedly.
