Bangalore: "Indian offshore IT services market is growing very fast and Indian IT vendors acquire 70 percent of global offshore spending," said Sashi Reddi, Chairman and Founder, AppLabs. He however specified that global IT spending will decline further due to economic slowdown. Addressing a session on 'Business Trends & Future Direction for the Testing Industry' at 8th International Software Testing Conference, he said, "Independent testing seems to be growing by 40 percent and automated quality segment would grow at 2.27 billion in near future. As technology companies tighten their IT spending, offshore vendors should turn focus towards the other sectors like pharmaceutical and government enterprises as well. There was a dramatic increase in domestic demand for testing in India since last three years."He opined that India has more opportunities in testing. Not only tier one companies but also small firms can make benefits out of this. According to him, customers would not decrease spending on testing and more investment may witness in security testing. "There are opportunities for device testing also," he pointed out.
