BANGALORE: InMage Systems Inc., a US-based storage firm, has launched its India operations here for data continuity that supports companies depending on the integrity of their back-up. Headquartered at Santa Clara in California, InMage has roped in its first set of clients in the US within three months of being founded by India-born Malavalli, co-founder of Brocade that makes networking switches and routers. InMage would focus on the small and medium enterprise (SME) segment since the existing products for data continuity and management cater to only Fortune 500 firms, Malavalli, its chairman, said here Wednesday. "For the first three months, we spent time talking to SME customers to understand their requirements in the absence of products for their segment," he told reporters. "Using special algorithms and methodologies, we will offer products at a lower cost to SME customers," Malavalli said on the sidelines of the Storage Networking Summit.
