Huawei to bring Android run tablet, S7 Slim

Bangalore: Chinese company Huawei is set to join the tablet bandwagon with its Ideos S7 Slim. The Huawei Ideos S7 Slim is an Android run tablet that Huawei gave the first glimpse of at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, earlier this month. The Huawei Ideos S7 Slim tablet sports a 7-inch capacitive touchscreen display with resolution of 800X480 pixels. The sad part here is Huawei is using Android 2.2 Froyo, even when Google has released Honeycomb, which is customised for tablets only. There is a Snapdragon 1GHz processor that powers the Huawei tablet and 512MB internal memory on board. A 3.2MP camera has been included and the connectivity options include 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and microSD card slot. The UI of the tablet is the proprietary Huawei UI. From a tablet point of view, the Ideos S7 Slim does not boast of superb features as do its competitors. It just looks like an enlarged smartphone. We hope this tablet will come cheap and you can go for it if you are an tablet enthusiast but don't have the big bucks.
