Huawei Ideos released in India with Aircel for 8,499


Bangalore: Chinese telecom giant Huawei has launched its smartphone Ideos U8150 for the Indian market. The Android 2.2 run phone is available at a price of 8,499. Huawei has tied up with Aircel for the phone's launch. Under this partnership, a postpaid subscriber of Aircel is granted 2GB of free mobile data every month. Looking at the specifications of Ideos, it has a 2.8 inch capacitive touchscreen with screen resolution of 320 X 240. A 3.2 MP camera is present at the rear of the camera. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 3G and GPS. However, the device has a low power processor of 528MHz. The storage capacity of the phone can be increased up to 32GB using a microSD card. Ideos can function as a Wi-FI router for eight devices. The phone will be competing with other low budget Android phones available in the market like the Micromax Andro (about 8,000) and Samsung Galaxy 5 ( 8,869). It is available at all Aircel and The Mobile Store outlets across the country.
