Hoax bomb call in Infosys, Wipro

BANGALORE: Almost a week after the New Delhi police busted a plan by the terrorists to target software installations in Bangalore, the head offices of top Indian software firms Infosys and Wipro were evacuated last night after bomb hoax. Police sources said after the bomb scare the police arrived with anti-explosive division and after a thorough search found out that the calls were hoax. Later the work in both the software installations returned to normalcy. This is the second instance of prank calls in a week. Last week, a Wipro employee gave a prank call to his office. However it was later found out that he was checking the preparedness of the police in handling similar situation. He was however suspended from work. Police said both the software companies received the call at about the same time and being located in close proximity to each other, police had it easy in reaching the place with anti explosion squad. Police in the Bangalore have been on high alert since the news of terrorists targeting software companies here was revealed.
