Hayward Council to debate on future of the city

California: The Bay Area Chapter of the APAPA (Asian Pacific Islander American Public Affairs Association) is organizing a debate, "the future of city of Hayward", for the candidates of Hayward City Council on April 29, 2010. Current Council Woman Anna May will moderate the debate. Ralph Farias, Lawrence Fitpatrick, Sara Lamsis, Steve Oiwa, Marvin Peixote, and Mark Salisas are the candidates who will be participating in the debate. The venue of the debate is Skywest Golf Course Restaurant, 1401 Golf Course Dr., Hayward, CA 94541. The event will also provide an opportunity for Hayward citizens to hear from Mayor Mike Sweeney and district Attorney Nancy O'Malley. APAPA is a non-partisan, non-profit organization with the mission to educate and empower Asian Americans and the general public through civic education and participation.
