Haryana to host "mela" on IT in agriculture

HISAR: The annual Kisan Mela of Haryana Agricultural University (HAU) will be held on March 16 and 17, an HAU spokesman said on Friday. The theme given to this years' Kisan Mela is: "Information Technology in Agriculture". Planning Commission member Som Pal will inaugurate the mela, while Haryana Finance Minister, Sampat Singh will preside over. Apart from the latest know-how in agriculture and allied fields, the visiting farmers would also be able to get the improved and certified seed of the recommended crops varieties of the ensuing Kharif season, the spokesman said
