Bangalore: Hacking of the computers has become an old trend for the hackers with these internet predators spanning to infect the smartphones. These infected phones could be programmed to call pay-per-minute 1-900 numbers or to buy ringtones from companies set up by the criminals. In this 3G era, new versions of mobile are unveiled with computing and internet facility, thus luring the cyberpunks to use it as a weapon to infect its operating systems or the web applications. As a result, as per a report by security researchers from the U.S. based Georgia Institute of Technology, if the mobile becomes a part of botnet or network of infected automated devices it will become the chosen armor to spread the virus. Currently, it's the PCs, through special viruses, are brought under the grip of the botnet whereby the infected device becomes the source for spam and so-called "denial of service attacks". This leads to the shutdown of computer servers, who are weighed down by unlimited internet traffic. Infact, the botnets are seen to affect rigorously through their massive computing power and they are supplied with innumerable virus prone PCs leading to replace the old ones which are taken out of the line.
