HP launches 'Instant - On Enterprise' in India

Bangalore: Evolution of business processes, technological advancement and change in the workforce have created a demand for instant services in the country and HP has announced the launch of 'Instant -On Enterprise'- where computing is heading, coupled with a set of new consulting services designed to help companies get there. It's a vision that includes, but is not limited to, adoption of cloud computing technology. This will also provide an integrated solution that can help businesses and government to create their own instant - On Enterprise.
Even though many enterprises aren't ready to shift their computing infrastructure to a set of cloud services powered by systems they don't own. Rapid growth in the usage of mobile and the growing population below the age of 35 has changed the usage and mentality towards the usage technology in the country and started realizing that the cloud and other emerging technologies are better-suited to certain applications and, for compliance, security and other reasons. "Currently there is a positive response from the country towards cloud and other emerging trends and already Mahindra & Mahindra, Bank of India and Bank of Baroda started using it," said Faisal M Paul, Head Marketing and Solution Alliances Enterprise servers, HP India.
A recent research conducted on behalf of HP found that 80 percent of senior business and government executives believe that to better serve customers and citizens they must rapidly adapt the enterprise to meet changes in consumer expectations. "It takes a special kind of enterprise to close the expectations gap between what customers and citizens expect and what the enterprise can deliver," said Neelam Dhawan, Managing Director, HP India.
HP also has unveiled two new consulting services related to the hybrid approach it says can enhance computing resources and the availability of applications and services. The Application security center which offers an effective end-to-end application security testing solution together opens a wide scope for 'instant on enterprise in the country'.
