HCL to design software for Boeing

NEW DELHI: In a recent development, Boeing selected HCL as its software development partner for one of their coveted projects. According to this multi-million dollar agreement the software major will provide services to Boeing as well as its systems suppliers for the medium capacity and long range 787 Dreamliner program (formerly known as the 7E7 project). HCL release also said that the company is already handling several programs relating to this project and is presently developing a hosting platform for the flight test computing for Boeing. By doing this, HCL would be providing services in areas of hardware and software development, verification and validation, and platform along with the tier I system suppliers for this project. HCL Technologies has 26 offices in 15 countries to deliver solutions across select verticals including banking, insurance, retail and consumer, aerospace, automotive, semiconductors, telecom and life sciences. HCL was a result of extensive due diligence conducted by the Boeing team from amongst several potential suppliers.
