Global chip sales reach all time high

NEW YORK: The Semiconductor Industry Association today said the total sales of semiconductors grew at a rapid pace, reaching $20.4 billion in November. Worldwide semiconductor sales rose by 7.2 percent from $19 billion reported for November 2004. Sales were up 1.7 percent sequentially from $20.1 billion reported for October. SIA President George Scalise "Strong holiday season sales of consumer products such as cell phones, digital cameras, and MP3 players drove record sales of semiconductors in November."
