Get2Chip names Murthy CFO

Electronic design automation (EDA) software supplier Get2Chip Tuesday announced the appointment of Sridhar Murthy as chief financial officer (CFO).

SAN JOSE: Murthy reports to Bernd U. Braune, Get2Chip's chairman and chief executive officer (CEO). "Sridhar is an experienced financial manager who will help strengthen our executive team as we continue to grow our company," says Braune. Prior to joining Get2Chip, Murthy worked for Ariba Inc., of Sunnyvale from 1998-2002, and served as its vice president of finance and administration. Murthy is a seasoned executive who has successfully managed three pre-to post-initial public offering (IPO) software companies and has a proven track record for growing a business from startup phase to a multi-million dollar operation. Murthy holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in accounting from the University of Madras in Madras, India. He attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, where he became a chartered accountant, the equivalent of a certified public accountant.
