Kolkata: After establishing its toehold in the European market, GEAR4, a Britain-based audio, iPod and accessories brand, is all set to hit the Indian market with its wide range of digital products from March this year. "We will launch all our 50 products in the Indian market from March this year. Our products would be available at retail chains and shops across the country," GEAR4 sales director Christophe Brisset told reporters here at the Pan India launch of its products Thursday. Talking on the business plans, he said in the first phase the company would focus on investment and strategising and in the second phase it would be looking at expansion and consolidation of the brand in the country. "Last year the total turnover of the company was 20 million euro while in the current financial year it has crossed a business of 30 million Euro already," he said adding that GEAR4 has been established as one of the fastest growing digital brands in the European market. However, Brisset declined to comment anything on the total figure of investment in the Indian market; he said the company would be targeting to capture a significant size of market share in India also. He said 45 percent of company's total business is done only in Britain and the rest is done in the rest of Europe. "We are now looking at the Asian markets such as China, Japan, Singapore and Korea," Brisset said. GEAR4 products are available in over 35 countries worldwide, in major national chains such as Tesco, Currys Digital, FNAC, Apple etc.
