NEW DELHI: State-run Gas Authority of India Ltd. (GAIL) Tuesday said it had entered into an agreement with two other companies for selling and transporting gas. As part of the pact, GAIL will take delivery of natural gas from a consortium of the U.S.-based Mosbacher India LLC (MIL) and Hindustan Oil Exploration Company Limited (HOEC), a GAIL statement said. The natural gas will be transported through a pipeline from offshore facilities to onshore facilities in Tamil Nadu, it added. GAIL will be laying its first offshore pipeline, which will connect one of the major independent beneficiaries - Pillai Perumal Nellore Power Plant - in Tamil Nadu. The pipeline will commence operations in two to three years.
