Former Satyam BPO officials launch animation company
Hyderabad: Six of the erstwhile senior officials of the Satyam BPO, including its former CEO Venkatesh Roddam and ex-CFO Satyanarayana Mudunuri, have launched an animation company, VenSat, which has completed 10 projects and has six projects in the pipeline. Addressing mediapersons, Roddam said the Bangalore-based Indo-U.S. venture partners invested in the range of $5 million in the company to drive its operations and growth including six projects the company currently undertook, at an estimated cost of $10 million. The company, which proposed to increase its headcount from 110 to 250 by the end of first quarter of 2011, would open its office Ascendas V Park in Chennai later this month. Vensat, with its focus on 2D and 3D animation and conversion of 2D into 3D, had executed graphics in the Rajnitkanth-starrer box-office hit Robot (Endhiran in Tamil), Telugu-flick 'Komuram Puli', and Bollywood blockbuster 'Dabangg' among others, Roddam said.
