Exide Industries Q2 net up by 18%

MUMBAI: Exide Industries Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 14.43 crore for quarter ended September 30, 2002 as compared to Rs 12.25 crore for quarter ended September 30, 2001. The total income (net of excise) has increased from Rs 198.71 crore in SQ-2001 to Rs 217.68 crore in SQ-2002.
Commenting on the company's performance S B Ganguly Chairman said, "The company has shaken off the blues of the previous year and is steadily moving ahead. We are optimistic that the coming months will be a period of further growth for the company."
