Dasaradha Gude takes charge of AMD India

Bangalore: After the replacement of the CEO in July, it's the turn of the Managing Director of AMD India, as Dasaradha Gude is appointed as the new MD, as a move to ensure sustained profitability. "Placing experienced leaders in new, more focused roles will help enhance our execution and progress towards sustained profitability and long-term success. GD's new responsibilities form a critical part of our strategy to sustain AMD's growth in the region." said Jeff VerHeul, corporate vice president of Silicon Design Engineering at AMD. With an experience of more than 25 years in the Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI), Gude, popularly known as GD, shall be responsible for the R&D sector of the company as well as for the overall India operations. Heading the R&D, GD shall eye the in-region development and management of AMD's board as well as growing portfolio of consumer and commercial platforms and processors. He achieved this position for his previous roles in bringing VLSI design technologies to India including several entrepreneurial ventures. AMD India's engineering operations have now become an integral part of the Central Engineering leadership team, created for the development and execution of AMD's technology. California headquartered AMD is a software solution company, with a revenue of $6.013 billion in 2007.
