Chennai: City based offshore technology operations major Cybernet-SlashSupport (CSS) announced Monday it has signed a partnership agreement with mySolutions, a Pretoria-based IT solutions company, for its expansion into technology services and support market in Africa. As part of the partnership, mySolutions will market CSS' offerings in the African market while the Indian company will provide offshore technology delivery and development support. The partnership will target government organisations, banks, retail and manufacturing companies in South Africa, Botswana and Kenya with CSS' Lotus Notes software services and support offering. Through the partnership with CSS, mySolutions will now have access to skills and will be able to offer services to new and untapped opportunities in the high-end market in Africa, CSS chief operating officer Sridhar Kulasekharan said here. "The South African IT market is expected to expand in 2008 on the back of favourable economic development," he added. "This partnership combines our offshore technology capability with their strong local market knowledge and expertise. We expect our partnership with mySolutions to help drive growth for CSS in the African market," Kulasekharan said. In February this year, CSS struck a technology partnership with Gallop for testing services. CSS provides IT services including tech support, remote IMS and software testing and development, and employs around 5,000 people at its offshore facilities in Chennai and Coimbatore. The company also has a facility in the US, a redundancy centre in Singapore and a near shore facility in Poland.
