Cranes names Shankar as executive VP & CFO

BANGALORE: Cranes Software International Ltd. (CSIL), a global scientific & engineering software products and solutions provider, announced that Mr. H Shankar has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Shankar will be responsible for all areas relating to Finance & Accounts, Budgetary Control Systems & Management Information Systems, Accounting & Reporting and Investor Relations for the Indian and Overseas operations. Shankar brings with him over thirty years of corporate experience in financial and operations management. He joins Cranes from the Saint-Gobain, India, Group of Companies. At Saint Gobain, as Managing Director of one of their Indian Companies, Shankar successfully completed the acquisition and integration processes. Under his leadership, the Company achieved 35% growth in two years time by improving internal efficiencies. Prior to this, Shankar was with the IBP – Balmer Lawrie Group of Companies. Shankar holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad (IIM-A) after completing B. Tech in Mechanical Engineering from IIT Chennai.
