Castrol India Q1 net up at Rs 35.76 cr

NEW DELHI: Castrol India Ltd has posted a net profit of Rs 35.76 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2003 as compared to Rs 30.14 crore in MQ-02. Total Income (net of excise) has decreased from Rs 264.44 crore in MQ-02 to Rs 250.39 crore in MQ-03. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 152.92 crore in the year ended December 31, 2002 as compared to Rs 108.4 crore in FY-01. Total Income (net of excise) has decreased from Rs 1180.02 crore in FY-01 to Rs 1169.98 crore in the year ended December 31, 2002. The Board of Directors has recommended a final dividend of Rs 12.50 per equity share (which includes a special dividend of Rs 8.25 per equity share) for the year ended December 31, 2002.
