BANGALORE: California-based Digite, promoted by entrepreneurs from the Indian outsourcing industry, on Monday announced plans to enter India, Malaysia and Singapore with its web-based collaborative platform for IT process and outsourcing governance. Digite president and CEO, AV Sridhar told reporters the privately-held company was entering India to take advantage of the large market. The two-year-old company currently has 16 customers, including BearingPoint, which is undertaking projects worth $1.5 billion using the product of Digite, he said. Digite, Sridhar said, is a single product company. For the IT service provider, it provides a state-of-the-art collaborative platform for service delivery, and for the corporate IT customer, a platform for complete visibility into the outsourced project, he said. The product, developed in the company's development centre in Mumbai, would be launched in India on February 3. Besides Malaysia and Singapore, the company is looking at entering China as well, he added.
